May Butadiene Contract Soars in Europe

The flat-out winner for the week was the European butadiene contract which was agree higher by €360/m.t. causing buyers’ heads to spin. Keeping pace, spot butadiene was reported notionally higher by $$480/m.t. but no business could be confirmed at that price. Other olefins gains were considerably more modest.
