February petchem contract prices settled

After a volatile January for commodity petrochemical prices, February contract settlements were a mixed bag. Spot naphtha in northwest Europe eased lower by $15/m.t. with little influence on olefins contracts. In spite of recent plunges in spot ethylene, the February contract was agreed lower by just €40/m.t., sources say, leaving a major delta between spot and contract levels, even adjusted for freight. In contrast, February propylene was rolled from January contract levels, and is on part with spot business. February butadiene contracts were settled lower...
