Chemical Prices Fall in Asia

Naphtha stabilized this week at USD 770.0-772.0. In India, Reliance has scheduled a maintenance shutdown of a crude distillation unit at its 660,000 bbd refinery. Ethylene moved further down from USD 1040-1050 to USD 1010-1020 FOB Korea. Buying sentiments are not very high and players say ethylene rates might drop due to ample availability. Meanwhile, propylene price levels drifted from USD 1140-1150 to USD 1125-1130 FOB Korea. Benzene fell from USD 960-970 to USD 930-940, while styrene monomer prices also fell; albeit from USD 1250-1260 to USD 1230-1240...
