Aromatics, Olefins Quiet

Primary hydrocarbons were table flat this week, leaving petrochemcial markets to their own internal dynamics. Feedstocks on the U.S. Gulf Coast were led higher by ethane, up 10 cts/gal, and butane higher by 12 cts/gal. Naphtha and propane were reported to have gained 8 cts/gal. Spot naphtha in northwest Europe was reported higher by only $10/m.t. Buoyed by feedstocks and continued strength in polymers, olefins were firmer on both sides of the Atlantic.
