European olefins settled higher

European olefins contracts were settled for August with ethylene higher by €40/m.t. and propylene up €50/m.t., but butadiene collapsed €250/m.t. erasing a quarter of its value at a stroke. Spot naphtha ticked higher $5/m.t. but stoked by contract settlements pulled spot olefins higher. Ethylene gained €20/m.t. propylene added €10/m.t. Spot butadiene had already plunged the week...
