After supply-driven increases over several weeks, most market participants expected some correction. Spot naphtha in northwest Europe was said to be off by $70/m.t. In response, spot olefins prices eased off, but only slightly. Ethylene was said to be down €30/m.t. and propylene by €20/m.t.
