Mixed settlements in intermediates spot pricing reported

Weakening demand and decreasing prices for feedstocks undercut US ortho-xylene (o-xylene) prices in the first half of March. The monthly contract price was settled down by 10 cts/lb, players say, while spot business was done lower by 14 cts/lb. In sharp contrast, European isomer contracts were also settled, but only with token changes—o-xylene was agreed higher by €15/m.t.
