![]() Mixed intermediates prices reported as final October contracts settled1:22 PM MDT | October 26, 2012 | Lindsay Frost Results were mixed in intermediates markets as the last of the October settlements fell into place. The North American para-xylene contract was the last of the isomers to be settled, gaining 3.5 cts/lb. Spot pX responded to that as well as to robust demand from Asia to post gains of $140/m.t. in North America and $100/m.t. in Europe. Ethylene glycol October contracts were agreed higher by a modest 2 cts/lb in North America and €20/m.t. in Europe, but acrylonitrile contracts were lower.
