Intermediates prices mostly fall

Demand for isomer xylenes has tumbled in Asia, according to players in the intermediates markets. April contracts had already settled lower in Europe, but by relatively modest amounts, market watchers say. The full brunt of the drop off in Asia hit North American markets harder, with April para-xylene being settled lower by 7.5 cts/lb and ortho-xylene (oX) being agreed down by 7 cts/lb.
