Intermediates market stagnant

There was not much action reported in intermediates over the past two weeks. The late settling US para-xylene (pX) contract was done flat for May, but no progress was reported in acrylonitrile discussions on either side of the pond. A two month settlement may be the next chance, market watchers suggest. European ortho-xylene was agreed lower for June by €15/m.t.
