Intermediates contracts settled

All but one of the major intermediates contracts for October has been settled, market watchers report. US para-xylene (pX) was down by 2 cts/lb while ortho-xylene (oX) was agreed lower by 3 cts/lb. Spot pX shed $20/m.t. while spot oX slipped 6 cts/lb. The last piece of the isomers puzzle fell into place when European pX was agreed lower by €22/m.t.
