![]() Intermediates contracts settled11:28 AM MST | January 2, 2013 | Lindsay Frost All attention in intermediates markets was turned to contract settlements, as all but the usual laggard US para-xylene were concluded. Para in Europe ticked lower by €5/m.t. while ortho-xylene (oX) slipped €27/m.t. US oX was the lone gainer in the segment, scratching an increase of 1.5 cts/lb. Slim decreases ruled for the other settlements, as North American ethylene glycol and acrylonitrile were both reported for December down by 2 cts/lb.
