Carrying thel late-October high level of activity isomer xylenes traders accomplished a rare feat this week: concluding discussions for all four key contracts. Market watchers note that settlements have usually been staggered through the month, with U.S. para-xylene contracts often not agreed until almost the new month. Buyers were in charge, taking the para-xylene contract down half a penny per pound in the U.S., while ortho-xylene was reported lower by 5 cts/lb.
