The U.S. para-xylene contract was settled lower by 2.5 cts/lb, a disappointment to sellers who had nominated increases of that much and more. U.S. ortho-xylene October was agreed lower by just half a penny, but producers immediately nominated a November increase of 5 cts/lb. In Europe, the pX contract had been settled higher by $20/m.t. several days before the U.S. deal, adding to unfulfilled expectations by sellers in the U.S...
