Intermediates Market Strong

Intermediates markets continued to be strong and active over the first half of September, in contrast to larger primary petrochemcial markets. European isomer xylenes were reported to be settled for the current month, with para-xylene done higher by €60/m.t. and ortho- agreed €150/m.t. to the richer. There was also action in ethylene glycol (EG) with the European contract for September being settled higher by €100/m.t., players say.
