Intermediates Higher on Both Sides of Atlantic

Fiber intermediates markets did not seem to be affected by the sloppiness upstream, traders say. Prices were reported higher across the board over the first half of May. U.S. para-xylene saw bids tighten by $10/m.t. European spot pX moved higher by $20/m.t. European contracts were reportedly settled for both para- and ortho-xylene, pX at an increase of  €  55/m.t. and oX higher by  €  30/m.t. market-watchers say.
