![]() Intermediate Prices in Asia Fall on Plant Outages3:30 PM MDT | August 3, 2010 | Lindsey Bewley Benzene price levels rose last week from USD 830-840 to USD 840-850 FOB Korea on stabilized cruse oil prices. There are a number of plant outages across Asia, shortening supplies for both benzene and styrene. Large volumes of benzene are arriving from the Middle East, Europe & US. Meanwhile, acrylonitrile prices fell last week from USD 2090-2100 to USD 2070-2080 CFR Far East. Though propylene has rebounded significantly, there was hardly any effect on acrylonitrile price levels. Traders say there is very low buying interest; they expect further lowing...
