Fiber Intermediates Post Mixed Results for December

Fiber intermediates saw scattered but substantial gains over the first half of December, market watchers say. European players settled December conracts for para-xylene higher by €102/m.t. and ortho-xylene higher by €50/m.t. Spot para- bucked the trend by declining a token $15/m.t., but that was said to be atypical of overall demand.
