Mixed intermediates price reports

Three of the four isomer contracts have been settled, but the US para-xylene (p-xylene) contract lagged the field as usual. US ortho-xylene (o-xylene) was agreed higher by 2 cts/lb, while European o-xylene slipped €18/m.t. ($23). European p-xylene rolled from April. On spot markets, European p-xylene tumbled $100/m.t. after the contract roll. Market watchers say the consensus at the lower numbers became clear and buyers would not accept the higher spot ideas.
