Toluene buyers decreased their bids by 10 cts/gal against lower offers from sellers by 5 cts/gal. Consensus prevailed in mixed xylenes, which dropped a dime, while styrene eased lower by a penny per pound. In northwest Europe, benzene bids tumbled $25/m.t. against a decline of only $5/m.t. in offers from sellers, leading to a wide trading range but little actual business, players say.
