![]() Mixed spot prices reported in aromatics7:30 AM MST | December 7, 2012 | Lindsay Frost On the US Gulf Coast, recent spot firmness had producers anticipating a substantial contract price increase for December, but in the end they had to settle for a rise of 3 cts/gal. Even more irksome, sellers say, was a 3 cts/lb decrease in the late-month styrene contract settlement for November. Sellers were happy, however, from spot indications that were higher by 10 cts/gal for benzene and a hefty 35 cts/gal for toluene. In Europe, there was a similar picture, with only nominal gains in November agreements. Benzene was done higher by €52/m.t. and styrene...
