![]() European aromatics prices higher, lower in US12:31 PM MDT | October 18, 2012 | Lindsay Frost Aromatics were mixed. Spot prices were lower on the US Gulf for benzene, down 5 cts/gal, and toluene lower by 10 cts/gal, players say. Spot styrene shed 2 cts/lb, it is reported. In contrast, spot aromatics in northwest Europe were mostly said to be higher, with benzene gaining $55/m.t. and toluene rising by $30/m.t. The same could not be said of styrene, which slumped $60/m.t. Despite recent gains in methanol prices, methyl tert-butyl ether was reported to be lower by $45/m.t., players...
