![]() Aromatics spot prices lower, but higher November contracts expected2:52 PM MDT | November 2, 2012 | Lindsay Frost Aromatics were generally lower, traders report. Spot benzene on the US Gulf continued to slip from the short spike last week, giving back another 20 cts/gal. Sellers note that spot levels are still well above the October contract, and most players are expecting a significant rise for November contracts. Spot toluene was off 15 cts/gal while mixed xylenes were down 20 cts/gal. Styrene was a notable gainer, adding 2 cts/lb. In Europe the pattern was similar, with toluene down $40/m.t. and mixed xylenes lower by $20/m.t. Styrene gained $30/m.t. traders report...
