![]() Aromatics prices varied7:55 AM MST | January 29, 2013 | Lindsay Frost Aromatics continued mixed on both sides of the Atlantic. Spot benzene on the US Gulf rose 15 cts/gal, while sellers raised offers for spot toluene 10 cts/gal. There were no reciprocal increases from buyers reported, so the trading band just widened. Mixed xylenes were said to take a hit, down 25 cts/gal in an acceleration of last week’s declines. Styrene was also off sharply, dropping 8 cts/lb. Some traders called the market overbought.
