Aromatics prices rise

Aromatics were generally stronger, traders say. February benzene on the US Gulf soared 73 cts/gal confirming that current spot levels are a solid reflection of the market, players report. Similarly, February benzene was agreed higher by €61/m.t. in Europe. Spot toluene was higher on both sides of the Atlantic, by 10 cts/gal on the Gulf Coast and $25/m.t. in Europe.
