Aromatics prices mostly lower

Aromatics were mixed in spot trading on both sides of the Atlantic even as contract levels were agreed lower across the board for November. Benzene on the US Gulf was done down 27 cts/gal, while mixed xylenes were agreed lower by 28 cts/gal. Late-month styrene was settled lower by 5 cts/lb for October. In spot trading, benzene and mixed xylenes were higher by 5 cts/gal, while toluene zipped up 15 cts/gal. Spot styrene was reported off by 5 cts/lb.
