Aromatics prices mixed

As if to confirm the ambivalence of US aromatics markets, the June mixed xylenes contract was settled down by just 2 cts/gal. That left the European spot aromatics market as the nexus of action. Benzene was said to have gained $20/m.t., while toluene tumbled $50/m.t. Spot styrene was said to be off $15/m.t. after a recent run-up.
