![]() Aromatics prices drop1:53 PM MDT | March 11, 2013 | Lindsay Frost Aromatics were weaker across the board on US Gulf Coast and European spot markets, but contracts were settled higher in Europe. The benzene contract for March on the US Gulf was settled lower by 11 cts/gal, while the mixed xylenes contract was concluded lower by 6 cts/gal, players report. On the spot side, benzene slipped 15 cts/gal, while styrene was off 2 cts/lb. In Europe, the benzene contract was agreed higher by €14/m.t.
