Spot benzene on the US Gulf was a notable exception, inching out an increase of 5 cts/gal, sellers report. However, both toluene and mixed xylene declined by 10 cts/gal. Spot benzene in northwest Europe saw buyers reduce bids by $10/m.t. with no immediate response from sellers. The trading range also widened for toluene, with bids down by $30/m.t. and offers off $20/m.t. Mixed xylene was said to be lower by an even $20/m.t.
