Aromatics markets varied

There was plenty of activity to relate in the US Gulf Coast aromatics markets, players say. Spot benzene was reported higher by 15 cts/gal while toluene was said to have dropped a dime. Mixed xylenes saw the December contract agreed at an increase of 35 cts/gal, market watchers say, while spot prices moved even higher 50–60 cts/gal in a broadening trading range.
