Aromatics in U.S. and Europe Tick Higher

Aromatics markets were much more mixed than olefins markets this week, players indicate. Benzene producers on the U.S. Gulf took offers higher by 20 cts/gal, but buyers were only willing to hike bids by 15 cts/gal. Meanwhile, spot toluene slipped 5 cts/gal, while mixed xylenes dropped a dime. In Europe, beneze the trading range tightened, with sellers trimming offers by $10/m.t. but buyers unmoved.
