Benchmark benzene on the U.S. Gulf was agreed at an increase of 44 cts/gal, or 12% higher. Spot material saw offers add 15 cts/gal ahead of bids higher by 10 cts/gal. Spot toluene was reported to be traded higher by 10 cts/gal while mixed xylenes were said to gain an average of 7.5 cts/gal in a narrowing trading band.
