Aromatics Prices Uneven

Players report down-but-uneven dynamics in aromatics, similar to the situation in olefins trading. Spot benzene on the U.S. Gulf Coast was level, while spot toluene tumbled almost 20%, to 20 cts/gal. Despite sharp declines in para-xylene, mixed xylenes were only off by 2-3 cts/gal; and styrene clung to just a penny decline, sources say.
