Aromatics Prices Mostly Up in U.S. and Europe

Aromatics were generally stronger, traders report, but not resoundingly so. Spot benzene on the U.S. Gulf was said to be flat, while toluene saw no net change as the trading band grew wider. Mixed xylenes gained 15 cts/gal, sellers say. The surprise of the week was spot styrene, which notched higher by a penny a pound in thin trading.
