Spot benzene on the U.S. Gulf zipped higher by 15 cts/gal, reversing several weeks of weakness. Toluene also rose, with sellers hiking offers 15 cts/gal while buyers increased bids only 10 cts/gal. Mixed xylenes, which had been quite robust in previous weeks, showed signs of faltering as derivative markets softened. Spot material was said to be lower by 15 cts/gal.
