![]() Aromatics Prices Mixed in Europe, U.S.2:03 PM MDT | August 4, 2010 | Lindsey Bewley Aromatics were mixed this week. Benchmark spot benzene soared 20 cts/gal this week, but sellers concede that advance did not extend to other spot aromatics: toluene was lower by 5 cts/gal while mixed xylenes advanced by a nickel. August contract prices were agreed at nominal decreases, benzene down by 3 cts/gal and mixed xylenes off by was even more dramatic on the other side of the Atlantic.
