Aromatics Prices Mixed, Mostly Drop

Aromatics were mixed but lower overall. Spot benzene on the U.S. Gulf was reported off by 20 cts/gal, players say, while toluene dropped a dime. In Europe benzene was the loss leader for the group, dropping $130/m.t., traders report. However, there was considerable strength reported in toluene, which gained $140/m.t., and mixed xylenes, which rose $100/m.t., sources say.
