Aromatics Prices Fall

Benchmark spot benzene on the U.S. Gulf was lower by 15 cts/gal, but spot toluene managed to eek out a net gain with bids rising 10 cts/gal against offers holding steady. In Europe, buyers report big declines in spot benzene, off $80/m.t. but that same small uptick in toluene, this time gaining $10/m.t. Styrene was off by $40/m.t.
