Benzene on the U.S. Gulf declined by 10 cts/gal, while toluene tumbled 25 cts/gal. Styrene fell 5 cts/lb, breaking below the psychologically important level of 60 cts/lb, market watchers note. In Europe the pattern was similar. Benzene was reported to move in a sharply narrower trading band, with bids lower by $30/m.t. and offers closing in by $50/m.t.
