Buyers hiked bids for spot benzene on the U.S. Gulf Coast by 20 cts/gal, outpacing sellers who hoisted offers by 15 cts/gal. In contrast, toluene was unchanged, traders say, while mixed xylenes were reported lower by 5 cts/gal. Across the Atlantic the story was quite different. Both benzene and mixed xylenes were uniformly higher by $20/m.t., while spot toluene slipped $5/m.t. Styrene, which was flat on the U.S. Gulf, gained a net $20/m.t. as buyers raised bids by $30/m.t. but sellers only raised offers by $10/m.t...
