Aromatics Mixed, Players Say

European spot olefins markets the internal factors netted out to stasis. Uptream markets for both Brent crude and spot naphtha were reported to be essentially flat. At the production level Dow said it was restarting its cracker at Terneuzen, the Netherlands. Downstream there were muliple production outages in polymer plants, including force majeure declarations. If the conditions persist buyers are likely to clamour for reductions from recent run-ups, but for the moment everyone is said to be sitting tight. Spot aromatics markets were mixed.
