Benzene on the U.S. Gulf saw buyers reduce bids by 5 cts/gal, but with no response from sellers. Spot styrene slid just 2 cts/lb off the recent peak. In Europe there was just as much uncertainty, and even more volatility. Benzene gave up $50/m.t. while styrene surrendered $40/m.t. But spot toluene held to a decrease of $25/m.t. in a narrowing trading range, players say. Mixed xylene held level, with sellers telling of strong isomer demand into fiber...
