Bids for spot benzene on the U.S. Gulf Coast rose 10 cts/gal while offers inched higher by half that. Action was thinner in toluene, where bids rose 5 cts/gal against steady offers. Styrene slipped back 2 cts/lb. In Europe the pattern was similar, with sellers raising offers for benzene by $20/m.t. while buyers were only willing to raise bids $10/m.t. Toluene saw bids rise by $10/m.t. against steady offers. Spot styrene was the loss leader for the week, declining $20/m.t. The big winner was methyl...
