Benzene was agreed to higher by 4 cts/gal for May, but that was the only contract agreement, players say. Spot benzene was unmoved, but spot toluene and mixed xylenes saw buyers’ bids rise by 5 cts/gal to narrow the trading range. Spot styrene ticked higher by a penny. In Europe the benzene contract was also the only aromatic agreement for May, with a decrease of €17/m.t.
