Joe Acker to Retire From Socma

Society of Chemical Manufactures and Affiliates (Socma; Washington, DC) president Joe Acker will retire by the end of this year, the group announced today. Acker, who had previously worked at FMC Corporation and Bayer, became president of Socma in 2003 after serving on the group's board of governors for more than a decade. Socma has yet to announce any succession plans.
