DuPont Asks Some Salaried Staff to Take Unpaid Leave

DuPont initiated unpaid leave on April 13, asking thousands of salaried workers worldwide to voluntarily take at least two weeks off, according to the Wilmington News-Journal, which broke the story yesterday and which DuPont has confirmed. DuPont’s 75 global corporate officers will take three weeks off without pay; other exempt and salaried professionals are being asked to take the equivalent of two weeks off without pay during the remainder of 2009, the company says in a statement.
