Port of Antwerp, partners introduce on-the-job training program in Antwerp chemical industry

The chemical sector in the Port of Antwerp and two Flemish colleges are introducing a trial project a step towards closer collaboration and coordination between education and the business world, the port authority says. The program is named Avogadro, after a 19th-century Italian chemist. Six final-year bachelor's students in process technology at the Karel de Grote University College (Antwerp) and Artesis Plantijn University College (Antwerp) will follow a complement their academic studies with four weekdayst in BASF, Bayer, Evonik, or Ineos.
