UN Countries Poised to Ban Up to Nine Chemicals, Discuss Global Chemicals Strategy

Representatives from more than 100 countries are meeting at a United Nations Environment Programme’s (UNEP) conference this week in Geneva, Switzerland to discuss imposing a ban on the production of a series of hazardous chemicals. The event is the fourth meeting of the Conference of the Parties of the Stockholm Convention. The latest round of talks may lead to a ban on up to nine chemicals.
