People & Business :: Reach Tensions Rise Over Reach Pre-Registration1:23 PM MDT | October 20, 2008 | Alex Scott The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) has published a statement calling on Registration, Evaluation, and Authorisation of Chemicals (Reach) applicants to “reflect upon their pre-registration strategy” and not pre-register chemical substances unnecessarily. ECHA’s statement follows two companies’ pre-registrations of the entire Reach chemicals inventory. Specialty chemicals distributor Azelis (Milan) has confirmed that it is one of the two companies.
