Reach Pre-Registration Applications Top 350,000

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) says as of September 15 it had received 352,641 pre-registration applications for its Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation (Reach) program. ECHA says it is concerned that some companies are pre-registering substances that they have no plan to take through to full registration.
